Background

East Belfast Enterprise (EBE) was established in 1995 to provide incubation workspace and training/mentoring initiatives to support new and established businesses in the local area. The company has developed from its original focus providing support in the local area and now works for the benefit of businesses in other areas of Belfast and surrounding areas, through a partnership approach with other organisations.

The company is limited by guarantee and has charitable status. It is governed by a Board of 10 voluntary Directors. The Directors come from a range of specialist backgrounds and deliver strategic support and direction for the Agency on such themes as Accountancy, HR, Community Involvement, Operations, Property and Business Strategy and development.

The company currently employ 11 staff and work regularly with several associates and consultants.

The company is also a member of Enterprise Northern Ireland, which is the association of enterprise agencies in Northern Ireland. Enterprise Northern Ireland aims to improve the provision of support to start-up and established micro businesses in Northern Ireland by providing a cohesive and collective approach and by working closely with other partner organisations and government agencies. Set up your Premises at East Belfast Enterprise

East Belfast Enterprise have two offerings in relation to premises: 

• We offer Workshop units from our Albertbridge Road site. This site comprises 34 units for rent to anyone interested in starting their own business. The units range in size from 400 to 1500 sq. ft. and are ideal for start-up and small growth businesses.
• We also offer Office Accommodation at our CityEast Business Centre site on the Newtownards Road.  The Business Centre has 48 Offices that range in size from 150 sq. Ft to 1200 sq. Ft and are ideal for start-up or growing businesses.

With the support of a range of funding bodies both locally and internationally, East Belfast Enterprise have been able to run numerous programmes over the years, which assist in promoting an entrepreneurial culture.  We help individuals to start up in business across a wide range of sectors and support the growth of established enterprises.

In an average year we assist over 400 individuals and businesses via entrepreneurship training, mentoring and ongoing advice and support.
