About East Belfast Enterprise (EBE)

Background

East Belfast Enterprise (EBE) was established in 1995 to provide incubation workspace and training/mentoring initiatives to support new and established businesses in the local area. The company has developed from its original focus to provide support in the immediate local area and works for the benefit of individuals and businesses in other areas of Belfast and surrounding areas through a partnership approach with other organisations.

The company is limited by guarantee and has charitable status. It is governed by a Board of 10 voluntary Directors. The Directors consist of 3 local small business owners, 1 retired small business owner, General Manager of large local company, HR Director of a large company, an Economist, a Banker, a Community Activist and Manager of a Charitable Organisation.

The company employ 6 staff and work regularly with several associates and consultants.

The company is also a member of Enterprise Northern Ireland which is the association of enterprise agencies in Northern Ireland. Enterprise Northern Ireland aims to improve the provision of support to startup and established micro businesses in Northern Ireland by providing a cohesive and collective approach and by working closely with other partner organisations and government agencies. Workspace

East Belfast Enterprise offer 34 units for rent to anyone interested in starting their own business. The units range from 400 to 1500 sq. ft. and are ideal for start-up and small growth businesses.

Business Development

With the support of the wider local community and statutory agencies, East Belfast Enterprise has been able to run programmes, which assist in promoting an entrepreneurial culture, helping individuals to start up in business and supporting the growth of established enterprises.

We support hundreds of people every year, who are thinking of starting their own business or who need help with an existing business, by offering a wide range of advice and support.
